The parties I go to the DJs let you request music. In otherwords they have a big huge library of music they take with them. I like this idea though where you can request music ahead of time and it'll be sure to be played at the party. Where as if you request the song at the parties I go to, 50/50 the DJ either doesn't have it, or wont play it.

the only green day songs i would recommend are "time of your life" (for obvious reasons) and "poprocks and coke," and that's during dinner. listen to it and you'll see why i like it...but the other ones i wouldn't.

Loadsand Loads of Bruce Springsteen. Oh, and if your going to play the electric slide, if I am there, fuckin' hell, try to find some way in which I can destroy it, like, make me do a rant or make the DJ play a braky sound. Oh, and a few other things. Beforehand, ring out the room with tone sweaps, this is if he shows up before a lot of people, have him EQ around the peaks. Second, do not turn up progressively as the night goes on, a surefire way to make people not enjoy themselves, especially those who do not dance. And especially during dinner, turn down enough to make people be heard. And last of all, play some music from

during dinner. Very good for that sort of thing.

Why would you need to ring out the space? It's not like DJ's discriminate since they just blast audio or so I think.

The peaks of a particular room, if not EQed around, can get mighty annoying. Also, peaks in the speaks can also be discovered.
