The Last Dress Down Day

Apr 29, 2005 16:35

Today was probabluy the last day I'll ever have to pay $5 to wear my own clothes. I wore a really comfy track suit (the pants actually fit me really good, what a first) and my sneakers with elastic instead of laces and no socks. (I wanted to wear sandals, but it was too cold for them) I sort of woke up on the wrong side of the bed and was in a really crappy mood, and took it all out on my dad as he drove me to school. But things got better from there.
Study Hall 1: nothing much.
Homeroom: they anounced that today was the last day you could get prom bids, and of course I haven't bought mine yet. You can still buy them next week but for 25 dollars more and they already cost $175 and of course I'm paying for the whole thing since Matt doesn't go to my school. Needless to say, Mom was less than pleased about this when I told her this afternoon.
Study Hall 2: did my CIA.
English: Chapter 36 of Moby starring Mr. Graham as Ahab.
Film: watched Rocky.
Apgap: more Supreme Court stuff.
Lunch: Lizzie brought over a friend of hers to sit with us. Hmm, what did we talk about? The weekend, and other things I think. Really don't remember now.
Chorus: sang the Mozart piece.
Folklore: more Hobbit. Bilbo finally meets Smaug the dragon.
Speech: practiced historical speeches in the cafeteria with Xander and Rich. (really, who else do I work with in that class?) I'm doing Hillary Clinton's '96 DNC Convention speech, the quote "It takes a village" one.
I was supposed to stay after for Apgap extra help for the AP test, but they canseled after-school activities so I didn't have to lie about skipping it. Tonight's the Discovery followup meeting (finally) and a prayer meeting and I'm not sure what we'are doing afterwords.
And I forgot to tell you that Jazzy dressed down too. She wore a pink bandanna.
