Not much happened Thursday except school, where I got a 94 on my first speech. YAY! I slept through most of Ugly Betty that night, but was awake for Grey's Anatomy and ER, both of which did not disappoint. (well Grey's kind of did, stupid cliffhangers) Yesterday I got an email from AAPD. Now that I'm in the actual internship program, I have to aply to the offices of various Senators and Congresspeople and see if there's a spot open for me. They sent me the aplications for Peter King, Carolyn McCarthy, Hillary Clinton, and Chuck Schumer, all local people. (King is from Seaford) I have my resume ready and am getting various people to write letters of reccomendation, but I still have several writing samples to work on. Fun! Speaking of fun stuff, last night was quite nice. I went to see the One Acts at HT with Katelyn, Erin, and Lizzie. The plays were actually good, I was pleasantly surprised. Afterwords, we went to a restaurant nearby which is co-owned by a family friend, only to run into several old teachers there, including Mr. Graham and Ms. Gohn. They were sitting at the bar and it was really awkward, especially for Lizzie who's still a Trinity senior. We ended up leaving after a quick drink and appetizer to have ice cream at Friendly's. This was much better, since there were no old teachers hanging around and we could have a nice conversation without having to yell over music and people. It was really nice seeing everyone, and hanging out on a Friday night reminded me of the good old days of high school.
Not doing much today except some reading and other homework. Possibly more later.
