So yesterday, after I posted the previous entry, I decided to see if Wave Pad (my sound recorder/editor of choice) would record Skype calls, and I recruited Megan and Hope to join me in the experiment. (I also recruited Glenn, but he was unavailable) We had a bit of trouble getting all the settings straightened out (Skype pretty much takes over your sound card) and I'm not sure if anything actually recorded. I ended up just putting my Braille Note up next to my laptop and recording our convo that way, and it actually came out very well. Go listen to Megan, Hope, and I talking about various things on my latest podcasts, which can be found at
http://www.tabulas.com/~klfe After that I had Chinese, watched TV, and stayed up most of the night talking to Lindsay Y on MSN and reading the booklists on the NLS website. (don't ask me why) Today was church, where we got Palms and got to listen to Christ's Passion according to Mark, which is thankfully one of the shorter versions of that story. Now I'm going to Best Buy with Mom to get new headphones for my comp (my stereo headphones died on me earlier this week) and hopefully a wireless card for my BN. We'll probably also stop at a shoe store, since Mom's positive I need new shoes for spring.
RIP Boomer, the Golden who lived with the neighbors in the house behind us and who died suddenly yesterday at the age of about 9. I'll miss his loud barking and how he and Franny would woof at each other over the fence. I wonder if she'll realize he's gone
Congratulations to Lauren on being made Prom Queen!!!!
