Hmm, well some things are definitely bad luck:
- not checking your gun's loaded (or charged, as the case may be)
- being lazy about cleaning it
- working for Bayban the Butcher
- not working for Bayban the Butcher
- wearing high heels in a fight (surprising how many people of either sex that one trips up)
- being one of Servalan / Sleer's minions
- associating with Kerr Avon
- having anything to do with Orac
- travelling without anti-radiation medicine
- seeing anyone in a plastic pointy hat
- meeting any old friends of friends crewmates, especially Avon
