So, my car started having trouble shifting into higher gears. I took it to Pep Boys and they had no idea what it was. So then I took it to my dad's and poked it and prodded it and figured it was a transmission problem, but couldn't figure much else out. So I dropped it off at Aamco. They called me the next day and said that they couldn't find anything externally, but they drove it and saw that it wasn't shifting up. So they needed to do a test on the transmission internally - which would only cost me $700. But that money would go towards the repairs, which they were estimating around $2,000. O.o So I decided to just pick up my baby and look for a new one.
Meanwhile, driving on the highway with a car going 5000 RPMs isn't very fun, so my dad let me borrow the Aardvarkmobile.
Yesterday Mom, Mike, and I went to the Mountain States Toyota dealership, testdrove the Yaris, then worked on getting it. I qualified for a loan on my own, and a rate everyone is telling me is really good. Nice. Here's my new baby, isn't it cute?
