Long time, no see..
I'm getting to the point of updating maybe once a month. Ah, well.
This past week was very eventful. I haven't mentioned before, but Bret and I are expecting another baby. We decided to wait to let everyone know till the first trimester passed; then we decided to wait till after the amniocentesis was performed, just to be sure all went well, etc. Due to the fact I am 36, the doctor felt the amnio was necessary, at least to prepare, so we thought we should go ahead and do so. That was last Wednesday.
Ended up being put in the hospital directly after the amnio, due to extensive loss of amniotic fluid (a very, very slight risk, like .5%, that you are told about before having the test). The doctor thought we would lose the baby that night, but we were very fortunate to have everything calm down and with complete bedrest, I didn't go into labor. I did, however, get very adept with a bedpan. yay me!
Was sent home for complete bedrest till yesterday, then since all was going well, I'm able to get up and about for a while. Looks like we've beaten the odds with what happened! We got the preliminary results from the amnio, so far all looks well with the baby and we are having another girl. :) Chloe Evangeline should show up around March 20, hopefully. This will be THE END on the Bordelon family.
