[Blake stares at Aurora's controls and tries to ignore the uneasiness he's feeling. Liana is still so young, too young to be without her parents. He looks up when Avon comes back and ignores his words.] How's Liana? She doesn't have a cold, does she? Or a temperature? She was sniffling a little yesterday?

She's fine. [Avon tosses Blake a holocube.] She was trying to sit up today. [He grins.] She's as determined as you are.

[Blake snatches the holocube out of the air and gazes fondly at the picture of their daughter.] *softly* She's so tiny. I miss her.

[Blake's first thought is to strike out-- after all, Avon can see their daughter whenever he pleases. But he doesn't. Instead he gently pulls away from Avon and sits on one of the bunks. He continues to stare at the holocube.]

[Avon puts the cheesecake away in the stasis unit, and begins a systems check. Aurora can look after herself, of course, but she likes a second opinion. Also, there's no talking to Blake when he's in a sulking mood.]

I don't see why he wouldn't be. And we did help him last time we were here. If it weren't for us, Horizon would still be under Federation control.

He struck me as being fairly astute. I'll expect him to demand concessions, gratitude or no.
