scratch that last post.. eff that... it's my LJ... if you dont like what i'm talking about, take me off your friends list
"It's never 'only a game' when you're winning" - George Carlin... very true... when your favorite team wins you tend to take the games too personally whether it be taunting a friend or yelling at a stranger because of the cap they wear... when you're losing you see a totally different side... you're really not apart of the team at all... sure you're a fan and the team says "youre with us", but realistically, you're just someone who supports them.... dont get me wrong, win or lose i'm a diehard fan... but seeing this from another angle makes me take a step back and realize that it really is just a game... one that none of us are apart of... this is a change for me too... and i ask of all of you as well... before you act like an ass, or take something over the top, take into mind that you, nor the person you're harassing is directly involved w/ the organization. i know i'm gonna have 3902384 voicemails and a million IMs, which is all fine... but think before you either make personal comments or act inappropriately... i am a baseball fan before i'm a yankees fan... i appreciate the game and see it as a hobby... i am a baseball fan before a yanks fan, but i'm also a friend before i'm a baseball fan.... over the years i've tried to be as passive as possible... after yanks games i'd brag a little, but never to the point where it pissed people off... all i ask is the same of you
this isn't new.. i must say this was one of the best series i've seen on both ends... in the end, the pitching really ended up being the deciding factor, and people who have struggled ended up pulling through when it counted... kudos.... i'd be lying if i said it wouldn't be nice to see the sox take it now that the yanks are officially out... but i'm not rooting for anyone... i'm just gonna enjoy the series w/ a beer in hand... i wont take part in any Sox rally's, or anything against them... i mite go to Fenway for a game just to experience it ((i dont think anyone i know has ever been to a world series, and i probably wont get the chance to again))... i'm not making excuses... great series... but the sox have beaten the yanks before... they've also won the AL championship before.... lets see if they can win the game that really counts
on to a next topic... come january i will be residing at 69 Chiswick Rd.... due to certain circumstances, Kristin is leaving Ai ((BOOO!!!)) and in turn leaving the appartment... realizing that i wanted to live in an apt all along makes it that much easier to move in... can't wait... i loved living on my own in dorms, but i like the comfort of being around someone you know instead of a complete stranger
i hope i dont have to say this, but... just covering my bases cuz i kno alcohol takes over one's actions.... dont destroy/steal any personal belongings, even if it has a yankees logo on it... this comes after Kristin's DVD set was stolen.... there was mostly friends who would never do that, but a few sketchy people came along and did the ultimate asshole thing... this shouldn't be an issue, but when in someone's home dont steal or damage shit.... no one had reason to steal her DVD... i kno some mite find reason in stealing/damaging things for some unknown reason, but dont.... and if you see someone doing that... take it from them, hit them, then kick em out.... it's always been a zero tolerance thing to mess with one's personal belongings.... if someone invites you in their home, dont throw it in their face...
and as a fair warning, there will be a picture of Yankee Stadium right next to Duxy's pic of Fenway... its only fair =)
after looking over my notes i feel slightly more confident about tomarrow's midterms... i just want this week to be over
I made this post public so that everyone can see where i stand and so no one gets to me... i kno most of my friends know where to draw the line, but others tend to take it over the edge.... everything will be friends only again, i just wanted this to be heard by the masses
