Today I was riding the bus back from my job in Colonia Emiliano Zapata del Sur and reading Moby Dick. I bought the book on a whim inspired by having read an appreciation of its cultural impact, yadda yadda. Anyhow, I was returning from my work with a group of ladies who I am teaching to use Miscrosoft Excel to keep up with their finances and how to use/maintain non-electric sewing machines.
So again, I was reading Moby Dick, returning from what had been a trying morning of this work and read this:
"[This place] is not down on any map; true places never are."
It gave me a smile, and now I return to schemes and taquitos.
as ever,
