Timing is everything
The swallows are back in the parking deck. I will not get the close up view of nesting that I had last year since the nest near “my” parking spot was destroyed after the chicks left last year. I don’t blame the management, or whoever gave the order, the nest was right over the elevator and there was a pile of bird droppings in the way. But it would have been fun to have been able to watch them again.
I was lucky enough to see them diving and swooping around today, and I had my camera out.
These buggers are fast. Most of the shots are little more than blurs. In one or two you can sort of tell it is a bird, then I got this one.
As I was about to get into my car, this guy / gal settled on the wall and sat there. He seemed unconcerned by the human snapping off shot after shot.
I think I know why.
“Hey, baby, wanna go check out the tadpole races by the pond?”
“I’m not that kind of girl.”
“Oh, well, okay. See ya.”
I swear I hear him shout: Tsubame no Jinpei (a joke for my anime fan friends)
