aunties love me

There's this old Chinese auntie in my building (you call older women here auntie out of respect). She sits outside her first floor apartment so sometimes I walk by her in the morning or evening. Every time she sees me she gets this big smile and I say "Hi, Auntie!" and wave and she talks to me. I don't really understand as it's mostly Chinese with a few English words here and there, like "work", but she's cute. Once she made a gesture for eating. Maybe she was asking if I wanted food or was hungry or going to dinner or something?

There's another auntie in a local convenience store and the last time I went in she said "You're so handsome!" (and she's seen me before so it's not like I'm a new face) and then asked where I was from. Then we started talking about the US economy and she was worried because if the US goes down it will hurt everybody and there's no minimum wage here so someone working at a convenience store is not in a good position.

And another auntie at 7-11 actually giggled when she handed me change a couple weeks ago (she had to be 60+).

I do like these aunties better than that racist old one from some months back.

I think I should the auntie in my building a little something, but haven't quite decided what. Flowers? Patricia suggested something easy to eat, like fruit. Ideas?
