A benefit to living in Singapore:
Apparently this is a limited time promotion centered around Singapore's National Day,
chilli crab being one of Singapore's de facto national dishes. The other is
chicken rice.
Not that these are the only two popular regional dishes here but many of the others, including
satay,
char kway teow, and
otah, are not strictly Singaporean being shared with Malaysia.
Food in Singapore is amazing. And I haven't even told you about
Peranakan, which is old-school SE Asian fusion from the first Chinese settlers to this region adapting their cooking to the local Malay spices. And this only barely scratches the surface. You can find pretty much any Asian and most Western cuisines here. There's even a restaurant that specializes in American-style Chinese food!
All this is to say I had the sub for lunch and it was pretty good, and only $6.50 with a cookie and drink (decent price for here).
