sometimes days go speeding past

So I've been listening to a lot of Sparklehorse recently. I already recced the band to tjs-whatnot, who is the newest Sparklefan (I made that term up), and I thought I should share with the rest of you.

Sparklehorse was basically Mark Linkous who sadly committed suicide last year. But he left some amazing music behind. I found them via Cracker. Cracker's David Lowery produced the first Sparklehorse album, Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot, and he and Linkous wrote the song "Sick of Goodbyes" which appears on that album as well as Cracker's Kerosene Hat.

This isn't intended to be anything approaching a comprehensive overview of Sparklehorse's music. Linkous worked with many other artists as well, including Tom Waits, Radiohead, PJ Harvey, Danger Mouse, and more.

[Someday I Will Treat You Good] this is maybe the most rock-radio friendly Sparkehorse song

[It's A Wonderful Life] Guy Maddin did this video. And did you know one of the flisters was in a Guy Maddin movie?

[Sad & Beautiful World] this is a fan-made video "shot at Jylland in Denmark" and I think really fits the song well, better than most fan-vids

And for those following along I've updated the mango list with Thai Black Gold (what a name!)
