So, things are going. . .
Not quite as jubilant as I was in the last post, but I'm still relatively content. Lately, though, things have been getting a little crazy, but I think that that's just my typical neuroses kicking in.
In awesomely awesome news, I may get to see Modest Mouse this summer in Kansas City. My favorite station up there is having them for one of their "Buzz Under the Stars" concerts out at the City Market. It is sure to be awesome, though the tickets are a little expensive.
Work is going alright. I'm playing nicely with the other kids, and have made some pretty decent friends. My managers and supervisors are all pretty awesome, with the exception of one, but I won't name names as the are people from La Linterna Verde on here. Next week, they have me scheduled to work 8-6 on Saturday (our busiest day.) That's going to be a very long day, but I will make some good money as long as we bonus.
The bad part about working at a car wash is that a lot of your hours depend on the weather, and if it's rainy and cloudy for nearly two weeks straight, a lot of your hours can get cut.
I had an interesting break today. This new girl, Meriah, and I wanted to go together, so we asked Corey if that was cool, and he said we could if we took our break right then. (Be aware: My shift was from 7-4 today, and this was about 9:45.) We were wary, but then he said we could have an hour, so we took it. Meanwhile, Sam was about to leave to go to Starbucks, but his car wouldn't start, so I offered him a ride. It was fun. After dropping him back off at GL, Meriah and I attempted to go to IHOP, the chinese restaurant, and Cici's, but none were open or didn't have a long wait, so we headed over to Planet Sub. Unfortunately, that meant that I basically had to work a busy day from 11-4 without stopping, and trust me, when you're scheduled out in the bay, that blows hawdcore.
I'm really starting to miss Mount Vernon, though.
