Well, I'm pretty sure this block break, and also the impending seventh block, is going to blow.
I'm sick as fuck, and almost everyone's leaving, and there are pretty obnoxious pledge activities all weekend. (No offense, Mary.) Also, my friend, Adam "Hot Pants" Batty, just left, and is going to spend seventh block in Mexico. I definitely miss that kid over the next block. I mean really, who's going to drunkenly sing along with me to music in Ted's room? No one as cool as Hot Pants.
And I just called in sick to work. I'm still thinking about quitting this job.
I can't wait for seventh block to be over. My homesickness is not going away, and I think the only cure is going to be an actual trip home. So here's looking forward to Spring Break.
Hopefully, cold medicine, Lost, and lots of tea will be enough to get me through this sucky block break.
I have a date set up with a really nice guy back home for Spring Break, so I'm looking forward to that. It should be fun. (Hah. Speak of the devil, I just a got a text from him.)

We had a crazy black out on Saturday due to this massive ice storm. Also, that same night when we didn't have power, one of my friends ended up in the hospital for alcohol poisoning. A lot of us got really scared for him, and were freaking out. I ended up having a bit of a breakdown, but I got through it thanks to Ted being an awesome guy. I really do owe him for that one. As much crap as I give him sometimes, he is really important to me.
Yeah, my Russian final this morning really kicked my ass. I'm going to blame it on the illness and being up to three this morning working on homework.
Tea is making me really happy right now.
Cassandra is thinking about venturing into the Iowa wilderness for a visit over her spring break, which should quell some of the homesickness. I really hope she comes. I'll take her to the hookah bar! It will be a splendid time!
I think Ash and I are going to watch Bride and Prejudice tonight. (Mostly for me to get my Naveen Andrews fix for the night. Hah. Not that the new episode of Lost won't do that. Hah.)
I love blues-y, folky music, a la Jolie Holland, Neko Case, and Emmylou Harris. Especially right now.
I think some knitting is in order tonight.
