Well, it certainly has been an interesting weekend here in Mount Vernon. A relatively shitty one by comparison, but interesting nonetheless.
I finally got the letter Crystal sent me, and that made me happy. A little bittersweet with two things, 1) I miss her like crazy, and 2) I probably won't be able to come home for more than a month,
Friday just progressively got worse after lunch. Things with the death have been getting more and more intense, and definitely worse, and more obnoxious. Then, I went to go get my mid-term, and I got a 'C' on it. And my RA wanted to have a conversation with me the next day. So I ended up hanging out with a bunch of people downstairs in the Pauley Recreation Room. Soon it was Mary, Leather, Ted, Adam, Erin, Steve, Drew, and me, and Adam really wanted to go to Taco Bell. So around one in the morning it was off to CR to go get some food. We ended up eating outside on the curb, whic h was really cold, but nice.
I was supposed to meet with my RA at two, and I woke up around 1:30. It was a "lovely" talk that left me hiding out like a pariah all afternoon. Oh well, I got a letter to Crystal written, although it is a bit angsty and emo, but I'm sure she'll understand. Then it was off to dinner with Mary, and on our way over to the local gas station, we ran into Emma, and she came with us. Then, we walked down to the train bridge, and waited for a train to come. It was terrifying (because I'm a big wuss as most of you people know, I'm sure), but I love those girls.
Then, it was off to the play, Equus, with my peer group. It was really good! Lindsay was in it, and she was positively amazing!
After that, I came back to P-R, and Ashley was back so I went into her room where she and Mary and Steve were chilling, and it soon turned into a Doors and Pink Floyd retrospective. Then, a Johnny Cash dance party. We ended up in second floor lounge where we hung out for a few hours. After that, we ended up in Leather's room until five.
Then, bed.
Everything about yesterday night made me feel a million times better than I had in a couple of days. I ended up hanging out with people that remind that it was a good idea to come all the way out here for college, rather than going to KU with my safety net of people, who I do miss a lot everyday.
This morning I actually woke up content.
