Honey Nut Cheerio, Good Chap!

In about 25 1/2 hours, I'm going to be in London. While I'm in the UK, I'll be attending Worldcon in Glasgow, Scotland, which has some surprisingly interesting-sounding anime and manga programming, as well as a panel on getting an agent, which I should probably attend, and some panels with Terry Pratchett, who is awesome.

I've also been told by my nephew (who's currently in London, but going to continental Europe tomorrow) that Harry Potter ads are everywhere, only it's not so great, because they use the British cover (naturally), which is kind of hideous. At least, compared to the US cover. In our opinion. He also tells me UK Game Boy games work on US Game Boys, so I may get FFI&II: Dawn of Souls while I'm there (Why didn't I get it over here? Shut up, that's why).

Thankfully, I've done plenty of things that I wanted to do before I left: I finished a new draft of a short story I've been meaning to resubmit; I'm almost finished with a novel draft, which I wanted done because I neither want to lug my laptop around Great Britain nor leave it be and stew on it for 2 weeks before picking up where I left off; I mowed the lawn; and I saw Howl's Moving Castle in a theater, after being surprised to learn that it was actually playing here. I even unlocked Infinity stage #2 in Katamari Damacy! Before I only had #1 and #3.
