Missing Bree / Story Request [X-Posted]
Due to a previous engagement, I will not be able to attend The Evening In Bree this year. I know, this is our huge event and all, but A friend of mine wrote a screenplay for a movie, and it's being premiered THAT NIGHT.
So aside from missing me for my dashing non-costumed appearance and rapier wit, I will also be unable to take pictures of the event. Therefore, I will be calling on YOU, the AOME Member, to capture the evening's festivities in all it's Digital glory. If there are hobbits doing the Macarena, Elves posing with Elvises, or Aragorn having an arm-wrestling contest with Aragog... AOME is counting on YOU to document it!
Aside from pictures, I will be asking for short (one-paragraph) stories of funny or weird events that happen to you during the weekend, for inclusion in my annual AoME DCon Trip Report. Although I see a lot, and document most of it, I can't be everywhere, and there are always stories to be told! Don't keep them to yourself! What if the now-infamous "For Rohndor!" toast had gone untold?
So keep a sharp eye, and write down any funny exchanges or events each night, as to keep them fresh in your mind. Believe me, it's not as much work as it sounds, and everyone will thank you for sharing your memories.
