lol, yes that is very much the point of journals, so friends can read them... most of us just decided that we didn't want strangers reading them too, which is understandable.

the strangers provide an outside prospective, from outside your circle of friends thats the idea. Then most people who you think are total strangers are still probally somehow related to your circle of friends.

Yeah, nope, not really, not the point of journals... in fact every time some random posts whether their opinion is valid or not, I'm always wondering how they found my journal. If they have a journal, I can always add them to my friends, I just wanna keep random stalkerish type people out of my journal. I don't know why you're so peeved about having to get a journal, because now you can have a username and stop posting anonymously, and *gasp* even post in your own, not to mention list people as your own friends and then you just have to read your friends page to stay up to date on what all your friends lives are. Seriously, friends only is the way to go, and the fact that I have one public post like this so that people who read my journal who I might not have listed can let me know, and I can make them my friends so they can still keep up on my life.

lol, yeah, you're just gonna have to call my ass to get updates on my life now! I'm sorry but I just find it so funny that you're like opposed to getting a journal when you read these damn things constantly! lol

NOOOOOO, IP tracking doesn't really keep people out of my personal life does it? I'm currently posting friends only, so either you're confused or don't understand how this works in the first place! GET A JOURNAL, NOT THAT HARD!

DUDE, you still don't fucking get it... I want a journal that only a few fucking people can read... NOT THE WHOLE WORLD, it's not just anonymous posters I want to avoid, I want to avoid people who aren't anonymous from even reading it in the first place. This is about privacy, and keeping people I don't want in my journal out of my journal, but that means I can only allow people who have journals that get on my list so I can pick and choose, rather than hoping to hell that some random assholes don't see it and decide to throw their 2 cents in, or even worse fucking stalk me and read about my personal life that I want to share with certain people but not the world.
