A soft, gentle voice called. A soft hiss of annoyance later. "Stupid yureis, who've you got cornered today?"

Wei sucked in a breath, scrambling away from the much but calling out, hands braced at the door, "I'm here! I'm here! Get me out! This thing is gonna eat me!"

He'd worked tech support too long and he was too young to die!

A soft sigh.

"You're already feeding it. They feed on fear." There's a chattering, then a heavy clunk and the sound of a yurei slinking away. A few rips later, he answers again.

"It's okay to come out now. It can't get back in now."

"You know... uh..." Rethinking this? Maybe it wasn't such a good idea? "Right."

The man stepped over the fading muck, hands shaking, oh, god, shaking, and he licked his lips before carefully sliding the closet door open a bit to peek through it. Just to make sure! That's all! Really!

Marno tilted his head, managing 'I cute, innocent and fluffy'. There's a strip of red tape across the door and along the jams, and no trace of the yurei. He blinks, slowly.

"It's okay, they don't like the tape for whatever reason."

Funny that his worst nightmare is of what most people here would call a normalcy. There's something to be said about simple-minded, non-super-powered humans, really. But-- that guy...

Jauntily stepping out of the closet Wei offered as much of a smile as he could. More a baring of teeth.

"You're welcome. The yureis often unnerve newcomers until they learn how to deal with them."

"Yureis? Look, I don;t know if you're part of this whole coma induced whatever this is," Wei said, motioning with a hand to around the apartment, the other carding through his hair to keep himself grounded. This was just insane! "But I'd really like to wake up now."

He shook his head, sighing.

"You really must be new. This isn't a 'coma' whatever that is. It's very real, and very dangerous. Now, are yougoing to be sensible and listen so that I can try to explain what little I know, or are you going ignore me, get yourself killed, and then leave us all to deal with your crazed corpse before the yureis restore you to life to continue tormenting?"

Something in his tones is enough to convince even the dumbest being he's not joking.

It's not the tone so much as what this guy was saying. And for once pinned him down with a rather serious stare, despite himself.

"I'm really not a kid, so can you not talk to me like I'm one?" He just wanted to know what was going on. "So if you can do that, then I can listen and try not to think you're sounds like some crazy person."

He smiles a little, and Wei might notice he doesn't look that old himself, 18 at tops. Until you look at the eyes. At a surface glance, they seem young and gentle, but a longer look
