I've seen hedgehogs out in daytime. Leaving water out is a good idea.

The last one we had in the garden, a few years ago, was much tinier and we took him to a hedgehog rescue centre.

Oh! What a sweetie! We never ever get them where I live, and I miss them so much. I hope the wee guy is okay.

Hedgehogs are always cute, and hopefully your examples are just confused and not ill in regards to wandering in the daylight hours. :-)

I haven't seen them again so I hope it means they are okay. We have a very wildlife friendly bit of garden at the back, so they shouldn't have trouble nesting undisturbed.
