Nostalgia day One. Bart Allen. How do i not have a bart allen icon?
K so first - I need more friends that are into comics. And second - This is a Bart Allen appreciate post because I have to spam Bart a little bit so if that sucks just... move on then, I guess.
In the beginning, what I liked most about Bart was that he was pure. DC is a dark place - and sure this was a decade ago (in some instances Two decades ago), and I can't actually remember how dark DC was at that time, because I'm - well, twenty, but Jason Todd was beaten almost to death and then blown up in like eighty seven, so I'm guessing it was still pretty dark, and Bart was pure. He didn't have all these internal conflicts about wanting to kill someone and not being able to because he was a hero. He didn't have the issue of a secret identity (not like Tim - not from the people that mattered). All he knew was that he could save people and so he did. I've never seen someone more themselves than Impulse.
and I don't think changing him into kid flash ruined his character. I liked the beginning of the third generation of Teen Titans. I think bad writing and careless authors dampened his character, but then again - there are things I consider canon and there are things that don't exist as far as i'm concerned ;p once a character exists, it's impossible to ruin him. So Bart appreciation with scans that I find... so fucking adorable.
In other words - SHIT. bahahahahah. And that face. Oh that face is so adorable.
He's glaring daggers. And Kon probably knows it.
The transformation of these two kinda baffles me. But in a good way. It's a good bafflement.

I think this is my favorite artist outside of the young justice artist. I don't think I've ever seen Bart so beautifully drawn before. The flash artist needs to get on that shit right now. ...Only now do I notice Bart's eyes are brown, not yellow...
I don't think Beast boy has been awesome since this era either :/ But they're cute together and it was cute while it lasted. And I like the art.
Okay. This picture is more for the awesomeness that Kon was than anything else... His dramatics could probably outshine Tim's 'OMFG I just killed her!' monologues.
