yeah, i got an e-mail today from the bf stating that they've actually found a way to time travel. rather then repeat it and summerize, i can just put little quotation marks around what he said.

"Woah, they figured out a way to sucessfully time travel. It uses a series i powerfull lasers to force space into a loop. There's a problem with it though. First off, it's only about big enough to send subatomic particles at this time.
They're building another one large enough to send messages and such back. There's a problem that that one will have as well. It seems that time travel done this way can't go back before the machine was built. Basically this means that if the machine were on for 100 years, he could travel as far back as 100 years, were it only operational for a week, the person a week in the future could travel to today and such. No one can travel to the time before the machine were activated.
Another form of time travel removes you from your own reality and puts you into the past of a different one. That whole thing with the paradox of going back in time and killing your grandpa and never being born, so you couldn't travel back in time and do it, so he lived etc. into infinte loops, doesn't happen because you prevent yourself from being born in that reality, but not your own, so you stay there"

i have no problem with time traveling as long as the machine exists. the idea of my entire reality being altered without my knowledge is a disturbing concept.
also peter jennings passed away yesterday due to lung cancer.
all the news people i saw on tv as a child are dying out. it almost feels like tv news is dying with them. like it's a concept that people just don't care about anymore. rather sad, really. in the future tv might as well disappear and people just download the shows they want to watch and view them whenever they wish. like with tevo.
