I saw it on a FB post earlier today. I think it said issue #22, but I would't swear to that. It comes shortly after whatever's going on in the one I just picked up today and have't read yet. And yes, as much as I usually love Rebekah Isaacs's work, this one is a bit "huh?" inspiring. That goodness for Willow's red hair. :)
Have to confess that although I bought all of S8, and am buying the Faith & Angel series, I have read none of them, and not the last five issues of S8 which all had Spike in them.
Given how much Iike Spike as a character, I'd say that speaks volumes about how I view the comics as a whole. One of the things I hated the most was he way Angel was messed around with, and I still don't like Angel hugely.
Season Eight is really not worth reading - except perhaps for the very last issue. Although Spike isn't treated badly, but Angel is still the focus most of the time.
I'm enjoying most of the Faith and Angel series. As does almost everyone, I have serious objections to how easily Angel's awful behavior in season 8 was explained away and how he doesn't seem terribly bothered by what he did. IMHO, it takes a lot of nerve for anyone to suggest a)that Buffy wouldn't hate the sight of him and b)that he would have the slightest right to object to her relationship with Spike. So, I can't say I've been pleased about having him show up for a few issues of the Buffy comic. Glad he's on his way back to London and Faith. They don't quite "get" Spike a good bit of the time, but often enough that I'm glad he's around. For the time being, anyway. Doubt the relationship will last, but we'll see.
