This is the eighth of my ten-part 22'verse series of drabbles, originally intended for
elisi 's birthday back in 2012. Obviously this got derailed a little, but recently I managed to get back on track and completed the series. Having written several more stories, with increasingly insistent, and important, characters I felt the need to go back and re-edit the 'origin' story of this 'verse. I plan to finish posting the ten fics tonight; early morning now, here in Scotland.

Part Eight: “I Heard It Through the Grapevine.”
“What makes you think we know anything?”
Faith kept her thoughts to herself as Riley and Sam tried to stonewall her; pondering that Sam would soon outrank her husband. Having won a bet with Kennedy; got Red drunk to make sure she knew how to win the wager first, she'd followed Kenn to where the Finns were operating.
Jail having taught her patience she waited until Kenn left before she snuck inside to wait for them to return from whatever gig she'd sent them on.
She'd also read B's diary.
Faith knew how to keep her intelligence to herself too.
