I'm so excited I'm going on a trip in four days yayayay flying flying flying across the country whoooo. also the forecasted lows are only in the 40s, so it won't be quite as cold as I'd been bracing for.

I hope the books I ordered yesterday get here by Wednesday. There was a decent discount and free 3-day shipping, but the website is showing them as not being sent out until Tuesday, even though all four books were marked as being ready to go same day. I figured there'd be a slight delay because they never process shipment on weekends and I didn't want to pay $13 for rush delivery (that totally negates the point of finding them at a discount).

Of course, and this is no surprise at all I'm sure, they're AQUA #2, ARIA #3, ARIA #4, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (light novel #1, paperback). I could've done the Haruhi book for in-store pick-up, and I probably should cancel it and do that, but shipping is free and the on-line price is like 15% less expensive, because on-line prices are already discounted, and right now, non-members are getting the 10% membership discount if you order online. When this comes, I'll have all the currently available ARIA manga in English and half of the currently available Haruhi light novels. I thought about ordering The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya as well, but I didn't want to get the wrong version. See, there's like ten to fifteen illustrations that come with these books, four or so are in colour, and I don't know if the paperbacks will have those, or if they'll all be black and white. I ordered the paperback of Melancholy because I like the cover design better, but if it doesn't have colour illustrations, I'm going to exchange it for the hardcover and get Sigh in hardcover as well.

Besides, I didn't want to blow all of the money I set aside for funtimes at once, since I'll probably want it when I'm in Milwaukee.

If the books I ordered don't come in, I'll just have to figure out which ones on my to-be-reread list will be best for traveling - nothing that requires TOO much work to read, because I'll be too excited to focus properly, but also nothing that I've read enough to know backwards and forwards. I'm probably going to download some free e-books or manga to read on my laptop as a last resort.

Tomorrow, I need to go to Kohl's because they're having a sale on their Levi's and I want a pair of darker wash jeans than I currently have, and I might find a pair of boots on sale that fit better than the ones I have (my brown ones are a size too big and have a blue paint splatter on one toe and the black ones I got for $20 last year are slightly too small and too pointy-toed). I'm also thinking of going down to the outlet mall to look for shirts, if Kohl's or Target don't have anything that appeal to me. I know for a fact that Eddie Bauer has a few on their website that I like, so there may be some in the outlet store.
