Thanksgiving in Paris!

Dec 03, 2008 16:04

first off, HI, GRANDMA!!! Hope you are feeling better! Get well SOON!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

After the amazing Thanksgiving dinner on Friday, Christine C. and I went to Paris on Saturday, originally to have Thanksgiving dinner with her friend from college, Caitlyn (who is an English assistant there) and a bunch of other people (mainly assistants) who are living in Paris, to go to Christmas marchés, go ice skating, and to go to some clubs with our friends from our town who are from Paris or just outside of it.

We ended up not going ice skating or out on the town due to being tired, but we hit up two marchés and went to Thanksgiving dinner at Caitlyn's boyfriend's family's apartment(Thanks, Bruno!!).

Christine and I got into town at around 12 or so, took the metro, and met up with Caitlyn.

Here is a giant ferris wheel at Place de Concorde.

This is the marché de noël at the Arc de Triomphe (a bunch of pretty well reinforced stands lined both sides of the street).

An ad for an upcoming circus performance...

And a scary, gigantic clown head to really get the point across!

A carousel...

Romantic comedy of the season, yes?!?!

It started getting dark while Christine and I were making our way to the metro to go to the dinner to celebrate Thanksgiving!

This is an unbelievable and absolutely ridiculous poster plastered throughout the metro...

Politically incorrect comedy of the season, yes?!?!

She is white. She is racist. She is going to become black.
