...beautiful.
That's what I hope everyone took from my one class today.
My end-of-year game so far has been Scrabble, but after spending almost a week out of the classroom, I decided to try a simpler version of Apples to Apples, which I'd been preparing for a while. Five groups, five nouns each to choose from, and a range of adjectives that I hope they'll use one day. The groups took turns drawing the green apple (the adjective) and then choosing the best match, as per the game's rules. One team eventually drew the card for "beautiful".
Try as I might, I can't remember all the choices, but I think that "girlfriends" and "Utada Hikaru" might have been there too. However, the group with the ball in their court chose "the future". I may have had nothing to do with it, other than bringing this game to class, but I'm glad that they are still looking forward in a Japan where futures are, arguably, still so uncertain.
Of course, the person who should take the most out of this, is probably...me.
