This whirlwind week has racked up the frequently flyer miles. Spent a couple of days down in Orlando. All in all it was very nice to see everyone. We couldn't stay there for a longer period of time because Tony had a show on Tuesday. We flew on up to Virginia. And then last night, we were out in Hoboken. Goodtimes.
Today on the other hand, has been insane. Between going to a meeting and trying to run all these last minute errands. I've been running about like a mad woman. First I had to go to a meeting with Simon Wincer, who is one of the directors of Into the west. The usual pre production talk. Talked about my preparation thus far, what's to be expected of me. I got the production details that I have been awaiting. It was very productive.
The deal with this project is as follows. The final product is going to be twelve hours long. Which is then broken down into six installments at two hours a pop. Essentially we are going to be working on six films. I've only met Simon who is directing the first two. And I don't really know who else in going to be involved. The first two parts are going to be filmed up in Calgary. I'm heading up there on Sunday and filming starts on Monday. And we're shooting up there until November. And then in November, production is being moved to New Mexico where we will film the final four installments of the series. I'm hoping to be done with everything by the time my birthday rolls around in March but I suppose filming four parts in less than five months is rather ambitious. But the again, then project itself is ambitious. So, we'll see.
And amidst all this in November and December, I am supposed to find time to promote upside in the US and overseas. And I certainly would not complain if I wasn't involved in any promo for the film. Particularly, in the talk show circuit. Its no secret that I am deathly afraid of talk shows of any kind and that I would do anything to avoid them at all costs. Hopefully Mike along with the wonderful people over at New Line will decided that I am not a person that you want to have trying to circulate knowledge of the film. And depending on when "The Magic of Ordinary Days" airs, Skeet and I may have to go off and do some things for that.
But we have an awesome cast. Along with Josh, Matthew and Skeet, Jessica Capshaw and Macaulay Culkin have just been added to the bill. Which should make for an interesting experience.
I've already been told that I will most likely burn out and have some sort of breakdown by the time I hit twenty nine. But oh well. So be it I suppose.
I'm gonna grab a bite to eat. Hope that all is well.
