I'm leavin on a jet plane

I thought I would take some time from fighting this mother of a headache that I have to say that I detest packing. Nay, I loathe it. Packing for a short, weekend trip is fine. Mostly because there's not much to bring and you just throw a few things together and you're done. But having to fill large suitcases is just irritating.

I've packed my bag for this weekend. Well, weekend to mid next week. We're leaving in the morning for Orlando to spend Miss Sadie's big day down in the sunshine state with her and her family. As well as Josh's birthday. Which should be nice. I'm looking forward to it. It'll be a chance to see most everyone before I leave. And then next week, Tony has a show in Virginia I think. I don't remember, I'll ask him or Dale in the morning. But anyways, I'll be tagging along for that.

Then, its back to Brooklyn where I will grab my bags and head out. To some destination that I am still uncertain of at the moment. I'm supposed to get a phone call sometime within the next week to give me an update. But either way next Sunday morning, I'm getting on a plane.

Which leads me to where I began with this update. Packing. I'm packing now because a) I don't think I'll have time during the week. And b) I hate leaving things for the last minute. I'm being lazy about it too. I'm probably gonna be away for three seasons. I'll ride out the rest of the summer, fall, and some of winter out there. And that's somewhat of a generous prediction of when I'll be done. I figure I'll just pack what I need for right now and whenever the seasons change, I'll go back home, drop my shit off and repack. And I don't really think that I need that much. I'll probably be spending my time off with family and the like so I guess I shouldn't really bring much. I swear the only thing worse than packing, is unpacking.

My husband can't find his "favorite" shorts. So I'm gonna stop venting now and help him look for them.
