IsLand CaMping
HEY! So this weekend me and 12 other people...went to Lovell's Island in Boston Harbor to stay for the night.
No running water, no food, no bathrooms...just trees and the beach..
We took a ferry and a boat to get there..Lugged all of our crap from place to place.
It was really nice, there were paths that covered the island, leading different places. The beaches were awesome..the water was so nice except for the jelly fish. There were like 4 or 5 huuuge cement structures with stairs that my brother found..which was cool because they were built for WW2..but I don't think they were used..
I liked the island because it was non-inhabited by people..and was COVeRED with bunnies. I saw a few baby bunnies, they were sooo cute. The guy also said there were rats and deers on the island..but I didn't see any of those. My brother and I explored all the paths..it was awesome. Basically I think there were 3 group campsites and then various other ones.. We had one of the group sites..with 7 tents on it.. Crystal and I had our own tent.
The best part of the trip was Saturday night, when Crystal and I walked on the bay side and saw the sunset with the Boston skyline in the background. It was beautiful..Orange, yellow, and pink..I must have taken 20 pictures. Then my dad built a fire on the beach..and we all sat around it. He played his guitar and they cooked little hot dogs and marshmallows..It was fun..
I woke up Sunday morning hot and gross..aaaaall I wanted to do was take a shower..SO I did the next best thing..jumped in the ocean! Sarah and I were in heaven..then we talked Kelli and Crystal to coming in..
ssssssoooo then we got out and everyone was gone..without us..so we bolted it to the dock on the other side of the island and made it in time for the boat.
That was my weekend..it was def wicked fun and something I won't forget
