My $5.00 Challenge
Friends, since August there has been a GoFundMe campaigne for one of our own--Kaye Austen Michaels, a marvelous, generous writer, known as ssmudley here on LJ, and Anna to those of us who love her. I know you've all read about her struggles and those of her parents and so many have given so generously, but the need for more help is still very real.
I thought I would suggest a $5.00 challenge. I think six weeks after Christmas money is tight for a lot of people, and they want to give but just don't think they can spare $25 or $50 right now. I get that, but how about $5.00? That could really add up if we get people involved. I just donated $5.00 myself under my own name to lead the way:
