Feeling Grateful
I just got back from the store, and while I was carrying the bags into the house my dog greeted me with her usual bouncing joy to see me again. Whether I've been gone an hour or a day she greets me like she hasn't seen me in a year. It made me happy, like she always does, and I said a little prayer that I never take that greeting for granted. That led me to think of other blessings big and small and just things that make me happy.
So, while we were working/organizing all the nominations (the numbers beyond our wildest dreams) for the PW and the MK awards I had the opportunity to get a little reacquainted with stories that felt like old friends, and art that took my breath away, and vids that fill me with joy...some done by writers, artists, and vidders who aren't currently in the fandom. And I'm grateful to them all. They might now be in Sherlock or Supernatural or writing pro or playing golf... who knows, but for a time they hung around here and wrote and drew and made vids and left their gifts for all of us to enjoy.
