Yeah, I know it's dusty around here...
...but I'm going to say hi anyway. FB is going to make my head explode if I hang out there for one more minute today. This election can not be over soon enough for me!
With SHarecon and Starsky and Hutch on my mind I decided to come over here and do a little post. Find a happy place. I'm looking at flights for SHarecon now, trying to hunt out a bargain and really looking forward to a Starsky and Hutch weekend! It's been four years since I've been to a con. Four years since I've gotten to hug my friends in person. Four years since I've been able to enjoy a wonderful, witty panel, and just sink into all the fun.
I want to suggest disco music for the party, but I'm pretty sure Flamingo's pink feathers would be scattered hither and yon at the very idea:) Still, I would love some Donna Summer and the Bee Gees and Gloria Gaynor.
Retro food and drink, although I can't remember what kind of food was real popular in the seventies. I think Tab was the beverage of choice? Neither idea is very possible or practical, but I'm just getting my mind set in that decade. It's funny, a lot of SH writers feed the guys a lot of pizza--I'm sure I have myself--but I think hot dogs is actually the food I associate with them the most.
Maybe hot dogs and tab? Heck, I don't care if oatmeal is served, I just want to party with my peeps!
