So old yet so new...

There's gotta be something more than this. I know there is. I long for this.

In Christ alone, my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song.
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.

What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease,
My comforter, my all in all,
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe.
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones he came to save.

'Till on that cross, as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied,
For every sin, on him was laid,
Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground, his boey lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain.
Then bursting forth, in glorious day,
Up from the grave he rose again.

And as he stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am his, and he is mine,
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me.
From life's first cry, to final brath,
Jesus commands my destiny.

No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from his hand,
'Till he returns, or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

WOW...no words...so much more than words. There's something more to this life...

"After the prayer, Neo had them read a passage of the Bible. He read it aloud once in English, with the English-speakers reading aloud in unison, and then did the same in Spanish. Then Neo asked them two questions: What di you notice? What struck you? The discussion that followed wen ton for about twenty minutes, with everyone participation exept Kerry, who was intrigued to hear the odd mix of people --shop owners and tourists, educated and uneducated, religious and less so--sharing their insights and reactions to the text they had read together.
Then Neo asked another question: How does this relate to your life? And again, the discussion flowed--bouncing back and forth between English and Spanish--and the honesty of the people was both attractive and unnerving to Kerry. 'They were talking about heir divorces and alcohol problems and debt, things people don't normally talk about except with their closest freinds. Even the tourists, who knew nobody except for one another and Neo, began joingin in. It was like...instant intimacy or something. I was gobsmacked by the whole thing, really." ---The story we find ourselves in

"God made himself vulnerable to us by loving us. A God becoming vulnerable...that is quite amazing. Vulnerabliility is not something people often associate with God or any god. Yet our God made himself that way, put himself in that position...on purpose. Our almighty, powerful God is also vulnerable. How does that work?"----some pastor guy
