He's a purebred German Shepherd. His coloration is pretty rare because he has two recessive alleles instead of two dominant or one dominant, one recessive, so his color is "diluted". Instead of the typical black & tan he is liver and tan, because he's coat will be a red/brown and tan. Right now he has sea green/blue eyes, and they're suppose to turn bright gold around 6 months of age I think. At least I've read that's what happens in most cases.

I need to name him! He's going to be HUGE so he has to have a manly, German name. Here is what I have so far...
Rolf - Remember that little brown puppy from Muppet Babies? Yep! It also means "Wolf Counsel" or "Famous Wolf" in German. I love this name.
Fritz - No actual meaning, just a German name. My Dad liked it and it was one of the first names that came to mind.
Konan - In slight honor of Conan O'Brien. "Hound, wolf; high." Anglicized form of Conán (Celtic).
Fenris - Wolf-related. Scandinavian mythology: Fenris was a giant wolf who had the power to threaten the gods. (Thanks guys for reminding me this name is from The Sight & HP. Woo! I knew it was familiar!)
Hans - Gift from God. That's just the first thing most people suggest. XD
Koby/Kobi - German Dark; dark-haired. (forgot this the first time!)
Gromit - I forgot to list this one. :o
