If you were wondering. Yeah, that's happening in 66 days. THAT IS FLIPPING SOON.
I talked to the tent people today about renting a tent. Yikes! That's by far gonna be the most expensive part (Thanks for Kris and Lyss doing my photography, otherwise THAT would be it) $700. Yupp. Plus tax. But, everything else is gonna be cheap! Like, I'm getting my tables and chairs for free from my camp, I got my dress for $300 instead of $500, I'm getting a sick deal on my photography (Have I mentioned I'm totally freakin' STOKED about this??), et cetera. Know what I'm most excited about though? We're gonna have dancing at my wedding. I can't remember ever going to a wedding with dancing becuase all my friends were like 'omg, we're baptist, we don't dance, dancers go to h-e-double hockey sticks, DOON'T DANCEEEEEE"
So, I'm on The Knot, and they have a list and all for me to be able to keep track of what I've done and what I need to do, but somehow I feel like I'm really missing something important, you know? Like, they had a note that said "Find a Groom" and I missed it.. Not that I did, I have a groom, lol, but something that important. This is so weird. It's so not me!! I'm not that person that worries about details and stuff. I'm the person that is laid back and doesn't care and assumes that things will work themselves out.
But, you see, I only have $2000 for this wedding (well, my parents are paying about 1100 and then whatever I can add to it) so obviously my wedding is gonna have to be super super cheap. The problem is, cheap weddings always look like cheap weddings.
I DON'T WANT THAT.
More than anything else, I don't want my wedding to look chincy, I don't want it to look like crap. I want it to be awesome and memorable and look fabulous, the kind of weddings you see online, all romantic and outdoorsy and full of fun. How can I do that? In the details. It's all in making sure the details are taken care of. The details that I'm forgetting. WHAT ARE the details???
Oh, I also have a great fiance. All I wanna do is get married and have a magical, romantic, classy, super fun wedding. Is that too much to ask? I have pictures in my head of what I want, but idk how to make them happen. Like, how can I make a big plastic white tent look sweet and romantic?
