Tuesday morning after Rowan (10 months) awoke from his nap I placed him in his highchair for a little snack. Yogurt and corn cereal puffs were on the menu. I guess the puffs were stale and after thinking he swallowed it I gave him a spoonful of strawberry yogurt. With in seconds my time line slowed down. Rowan reached for me with huge eyes and I quickly unbuckled him and laid him upside down on my arm. WACK WACK WACK, flipped him over saw the darn puff ball and scooped it out with my pinkie. Holding him close and making eye contact he then let out a huge scream. We had to leave the room for a few minutes before tossing the stale puffs and focusing on the yogurt.
Before Jason I was signed up to be a fire fighter/paramedic and truly think I missed my calling. Maybe I should look into it again.
I had a small adrenaline rush but was not scared one bit.
