From Mother's Milk Association of Wisconsin - "Typically, it takes donors 3-6 weeks to collect 100 ounces."
L . O . L .
Ayla will be 3 weeks tomorrow & I have been pumping since she was born. She was usually taking about 2 ounces with every feeding. I however, was pumping 6 ounces everytime. Since Friday, she's only been nursing, but I am producing so much that I have to pump some milk off or I think my boobs are going to explode. Tonight, after adding up everything in our fridge & freezer, I have a grand total of 448 ounces (converts to 3.5 gallons) of milk! It is INSANE!! I am quite proud of my boobies, even though they are kind of freakish at this point.
I guess I will be calling the milk bank soon, I can't imagine that we will ever use it all.
