A little update...
So, it's the second week of Jason being gone and I am SO ready for him to come home. You single moms are my heroes! I don't know how you do it! Last week went by fast, so I am hoping for the same this week. His plane gets in at 10pm on Friday night and Emma and I are going to get him (not my idea, but Jason really wanted us to pick him up). So, only 3 more nights!
It wouldn't have been so bad, except with cheerleading (football playoffs) and church stuff, we are so busy and I feel like Emma is always being shipped off to my parent's house. Not that she minds (Meema spoils her like crazy), but I hate that I don't just get to spend time with her at home.
This weekend seemed really long, and it was nice to hang out with Emma and not go to work. Friday, we went down to Milwaukee to pick up my sister at school. We were going to do some shopping, but time was not on our side and didn't get to do that. Friday night we went to Rocky Rococo in Madison for dinner. Saturday, I went to Farm & Fleet's Toyland Opening with my sister-in-law. I actually started some Christmas shopping and got my nephew a b-day present, his birthday is Nov. 3rd. After we got home, my friend Sarah and her daughter (1 month old Lainey) came over to hang out and we did some shopping in Madison. I bought Emma's Christmas dress at Gap, I had a $10 off coupon, so I figured, "Why not?" I got $20 coupon in the mail yesterday and I think I'm going back to get some matching shoes. Not a very good pic of the shoes, they look more silver in person and match better.
On Sunday, we went to church and then headed to the Zoo for "Halloween at the Zoo" with my SIL and nephews. It was freaking insane! Kids EVERYWHERE. I don't think I would do it again. The kids were really good though, they loved the bouncy castles and the carousel. I will have to post pics later, I haven't taken the pics off the camera yet.
I have to go in for a Tetanus shot today; I cut myself on the partly rusty metal clasp on Finley's leash on Saturday. Fun fun, but I do get to leave work at 2pm :o)
Tonight is the football playoff game between Lodi and Platteville. It is in Platteville, so I won't be home until SUPER late. Emma is staying overnight at my parents, since I would have to take her there tomorrow morning anyway. She's so excited about it.
That's about all that's new with us... Can you tell I'm bored at work today?
