when i was on the phone with my mom the other day, i confessed to her that i had voted green party for governor of california, among other offices. this was not so much because i feel strongly in favor of the positions of the green party, but just that i couldn't bring myself to vote for the democratic nominee. she told me that she too had voted green. we promised not to tell don.
the next day don and my mom went out to one of the 2 contestable precincts in california and canvassed for the democratic nominee.
why are there only 2 precincts in all of california that are actually considered a legitimate race?
cayenne and lehua are coming home for thanksgiving. should be fun.

it's raining now. so for the next 4 months or so, whenever i write an lj update, just imagine me sitting in a small dorm room with a grey sky outside and rain. let's hope it's not as depressing this year.
