I wouldn't put it past her to do something with him still. He's been the focus of the subplots since volume 6 and there are flashbacks every chapter. I AM UNSURE, ESPECIALLY WITH THIS "THE HEADHUNTER ARC ISN'T FINISHED YET" TALK.
Leo's player and I have been kidding around for a while that Jack was evil and that the end game is going to involve Ada using her witchcraft to summon Elliot's spirit using a ouija board to slap sense into everyone.
At least it's not as bad as my theory of Oz getting tossed back into the Abyss and getting sent TO THE PAST and thus he lives on the streets for a time UNTIL A CERTAIN YOUNG WOMAN FINDS HIM AND HE INSISTS HE BE CALLED--
I am also hilariously amused by all the possibilities.
My current crack theory of choice is that the reason she keeps flagging our attention to Elliot and drawing Lacie parallels is that now that he's died while the Abyss has gone haywire, he is eligible to inheriting Alyss's power as the Will of the Abyss, and that he's the one that Oz and Leo agree is the best choice because ... well ... Elliot Nightray would not stand for any of this bullshit about changing the past. YOU GO BACK THERE AND YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE AS IT IS. I AM NOT DOING ANYTHING LIKE THAT :|
Everyone in Pandora is just DON'T BOTHER, ELLIOT NIGHTRAY IS THE WILL OF THE ABYSS AND HE WAS A STUBBORN CONTRARY SON OF A BITCH BEFORE HE GOT REALITY WARPING POWERS. JUST. GO AND ... PICK UP A HOBBY. LIKE KNITTING.
that's only because he's dead now...
