But seriously, Elliot feels kind of resigned and tired and unhappy in regards to Necoco. Like. Okay. I understand that this may come as a shock to absolutely no-one, but Elliot is a lot nicer and compassionate than he first appears - he yells and carries on and is occasionally terribly thoughtless but Ada remarks that Elliot's actually a very shy person and that's fairly accurate. It's more that he's a very proud and very sensitive person, but shy works. So basically Elliot is acutely aware that he is not the person that Necoco wants, still. While Necoco has grown to like him as he is, there's always going to be this part of him that is looking for the other Elliot. Elliot refuses to think of him as the real Elliot because that's him, thank you very much. But he does keenly feel that Necoco misses the old Elliot, and misses the things that Elliot simply cannot give him because he's too ... Elliot.
He's fond of Necoco in a kind of awkward, self-conscious way. The cat ears do not enter the equation, I might add. He likes Necoco better when he's not trying to lead him on and is just being platonic, because Elliot is not that comfortable with the whole ... dating ... people thing ever. He's aware that Necoco wants to take care of him, and he resents that because he does not think he radiates anything that would suggest that he needs taking care of! HE IS PERFECTLY CONFIDENT AND BADASS AND NOTHING THAT WOULD SUGGEST A NEED FOR HUGS.
THIS ALL SOUNDS QUITE NEGATIVE. But as I said, Elliot is fond of Necoco! He's very self-conscious about it, because Elliot is terrible with friends and doesn't know what to do with them. He won't be telling Necoco things that trouble him unless it's after a lot of work on Necoco and Elliot's parts to get him to a point where he trusts Necoco, but he's also not going to be the hostile person that he can be with others. If that. makes. sense.
So which characters does ZEX want to sex and how?
