I had the most amazing dream last night. It's the most detailed, outlandish dream I've had in ages, and it was so much fun. It's another one of those dreams that proves that I don't really have nightmares; to someone else it might have been a nightmare, but to me it was straight action-adventure. I guess part of my brain knows it's a dream, because even when people I know die it's just a part of the dream-movie.
So in this one I was living with my parents again when zombies attacked. They got my parents and everything, but I ran. This was one of those dreams when I could fly, but the ability is unreliable. So I flew, worried that I would descend and have to land at any moment, away from the zombies rioting everywhere. I flew into a bunch of trees at the edge of the neighborhood and found one with a bunch of different kinds of berries growing on it. Its branches were high enough up from the ground that a normal person couldn't climb it without special equipment. I landed in the branches and found this old woman living up in the branches, kind of eccentric and nature-child like she'd never really been raised around people, but she wasn't a zombie and she was content to share the tree with me, so I chilled in the branches and ate some berries, watching for zombies.
Somehow I got into contact with Danny, or the dream equivalent. I don't think I was quite myself, so the Danny wasn't quite Danny; it was the zombie movie heroine's boyfriend more, I guess. Anyway, I must have used a cellphone or something. This was a couple days later, and I was relieved he was still alive. He was holed away in his house. I told him to go to a window on the top floor where I could pick him up. Apparently his house had a roof access, though; he went to the roof and the zombies got him, and when I flew past I saw his mauled body. Minor gag reflex and I flew back to the tree.
Few days, maybe a couple of weeks later I'm living in my tree with my old woman when this guy walks past down below who reminds me greatly of Draco. He's still alive (meaning non-zombied) and he's trying to get me to come down. I don't know why but I have some extreme grudge against him and refuse, but he eventually uses some sort of manipulation or forced coercion to get me down and I go to his mansion, where there's a whole zombie-free staff. Constant work to keep all the zombies out. After this the dream gets really fuzzy, but basically somehow I got the chance to leave the Draco-guy and his bitch mom for the zombies, but the Draco-guy had a nice clone or twin type deal who I saved.
So yeah, very weird dream. I have a feeling there are pieces of story I'm already missing or that maybe they were never there... after all, dreams don't have to make sense. But it was great while it lasted, haha.
I've gotta tell Danny. He gets way more crazy dreams like this than I do, and it makes me jealous since when I was younger I had all sorts of flying and mermaid dreams, stuff like that.
