*sigh of relief* Things are finally starting to wind down for the semester. Crunchtime ends tomorrow and I'm in pretty good shape for it, and I think most people are too. Which is good! It means we're less likely to lose people in the coming semester to reasons other than their own. I think I spent a grand total of 19 hours just editing the music video so far. (Omg, that's too much time.) But now it's pretty much ready to go to DVD, so hurrah!

For the winter semester, things repeat the same way unless you get the opportunity to Co-Op out and work in industry *CROSSES FINGERS* I think you need to find a job (or jobs) that (combined) guarantees you 35 hrs per week of work, since that would be equivalent to our credit hours (i believe). If I'm ridiculously lucky, I'll get some contacts this summer and be safe for practicum & co-oping out. I'm nervous, to an extent, because the rest of my team are such strong workers that they're pretty much guaranteed offers in the industry for co-op options, and it'd be just shameful if I didn't get that opportunity, too. Which, as a side note, is why I'm so excited for this team: they're all so skilled and passionate that it should inspire me to push my limits and exceed expectations.
My main complaint this year, more than any other ever, is how friggen far away from everything I live. When I worked at Kernels, it was a 40 minute commute, usually, and that would also cover going to visit pretty much whoever. Now, to get to campus by driving, it's 45 when I'm speeding & lucky, usually more like an hour. And the ride is alone (I hate driving alone! It's so goddamn boring). From there, everything is at least 30 minutes, usually a bit more. I hates it, precious. I'm used to Richmond, where everything is at most 20 minutes away driving time. 40 minutes by transit if you're really unlucky.
It's made doubly worse, because short of winning the lottery or quitting school, I don't have the means to get the finances to move to a more accessable location. XP! Hopefully by this time, two years from now, I will be in my own place in a great location with a nice, fuel-efficient car. Much as I love Stacey, she's about $90 per week for gas. Which is ridiculous! Anyways, those are my goals. LOL -.-;
I think I've rambled on enough for one entry. How's everyone else doing? Is it crunchtime for you too?

kepp0xy because of a nickname explosion almost a year ago. I'd changed my username once already, but wasn't happy with it. Then I was lying on
iheartkeys's living room floor & she calls me keppy, and I had been laughing about a fic she'd written about the chickenpox, and how Pox would be a sweetass gangsta name and then voila! (that sentence had a lot of 'and' in it O_O)

Hmmm... what is my name? One moment. ah. kePPy: as aforementioned it's a nickname. the p's are capitalized because the person who originally called me that made a typo, and I was mocking them. Then it just kinda stuck.

lovespring and I played a lot of Assassin's Creed and decided that if we were to become assassins, we wouldn't be as good as Altair (sp?). Therefore, charging only $10 per job is worthwhile, because if we made a mistake (ie- taking out our employer [oops]), we'd point to the fact that they hired an assassin for $10. It's also our bandname on Rock Band. (PS3- hollah!)

'Cause I was really struck by it, maybe some inner feminist thinking that chicks kicking ass and getting roughed up is an awesome thing for independent women everywhere?
