01. Comment to this entry saying 'ICONS!' and I will pick 6 of your icons.
02. Make an entry in your own journal and talk about the icons I picked!

Snagged from la_esmeralda_, who gave me:

1.

I ♥ Ginny Weasley a ridiculous amount. I know lots of folk don't like her and say she messes with their various OTPs in the Potterverse, but I can't get enough. She's fierce and competent and knows how to handle Harry in a non-manipulative, caring way. Something he needs, IMO. They're a good balance. She's a badass without enough wordtime in the novels.

2.

Kate Winslet is probably my all time favourite actress. Here, she's Clementine; crazy, mixed up, tries-so-hard-and-fails-just-as-hard Clementine just trying to get by. I love her expression in this one, kind of gently inquisitive, with hot lip-biting.

3.

Mickey & the Doctor! Primarily because Mickey doesn't get enough love, and this scene was sweet.

4.

I... have a thing for slow dances, or just coupley dances in general. This icon epitomizes all that I like about them: the closeness, the intensity between their looks, how it seems to say 'no one else'. ... It's my uber romanticky icon ;]

5.

The Last Unicorn! I grew up on this movie, and recently re-watched it for the first time in years. I really hadn't realised how angsty it was until I rewatched it, but I still love it. It's such a different look at humanity and emotion and love, through the eyes of a mythical beast that most generally see as tender. It kind of turns that idea on its ear, and I just... ♥. I'm not doing it justice here, but if you've not seen The Last Unicorn, or read the book, you really ought to. It's so good.

6.

Okay, I could say a boatload about this icon, but I'm going to limit myself. I've never actually been swept up with a ship quite as thoroughly as Gwen/Arthur has taken me. This icon is probably my favourite, a representation of one of their best scenes in season 1. Here I think is when The Moment happens - they both behave to their utmost potential and start to recognise something in one another that they'd never bothered to before. It's a packed scene, complemented by the next two between them, but I really think that this is the turning point (or the start of the turning point ;).
