Welcome back to Calypso Island! Last week, Terri, devoid of electricity to get her laptop running and start working on her books, acted as a match maker of sorts and tried her best to get Lily and Kevin back together.
But after Kevin married Summer, not even the super optimistic Terri can find a way to get those two together. Good thing the electricity is up and running on the island. Now Terri can finally get started on that book.
But first things first. On Monday morning, Terri calls Kevin to get everything set up right. She just can't wait to get her laptop out of the box it has been sitting in all last week.
"Sure, I'll make sure you have running water and everything. You'll be showering in no time!"
"That's nice Kevin, but what about my laptop?"
"I'll get to that too, don't worry. But I thought I'd start with the pluming."
"I'd rather you start on my laptop."
"Is it working yet?"
"Almost... Man, this thing is slow. Have you thought about upgrading? I could try re-installing your OS, that might speed things up."
"No! I just want power to run it and an internet connection to mail my publisher. Stop messing with it and just make it work."
"Hahaha, I was just messing with you. It's done. I'll be in the other room, installing a sink."
After Kevin left, she started working on her first novel. Terri found it much easier to concentrate in her new home. Noisy neighbors, barking dogs, rush hour, there were no sounds distracting her here. The only thing she heard was the rushing of the ocean.
It took Terri 3 days of solitary confinement to finish her first book; Wait for Me, a romantic novel.
It was an instant hit.
The next morning, when she took out the thrash, Terri noticed someone sitting on her beach.
"This is a private beach you know?"
"I know. You mind?"
"Not really... Mind if I join you?"
"Nah, it's your beach after all."
"Hey Lily..."
"Hmmm?"
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"No, not really..."
"Thought so."
"But you know, for what it's worth, you already got the power running and once we open the first community lot, townies will be pouring in. You're not doing that bad, as our leader."
"Thanks Terri. That's a nice thing to say."
After Lily left, Terri started working on her second book.
It sold really well and Terri celebrated with a little victory dance in her kitchen.
Everything seemed to be going really well, right up until her shower broke. So Terri called the only mechanic she knew.
"Thanks so much for coming over Kevin!. Do you think you can fix my shower."
"Sure thing, I'll get right to it."
And while Terri continued on her third novel, Kevin fixed her broken shower.
He did not want to stay for dinner though. And although Terri liked being alone when she was writing, she was getting a little bored.
Summer had just giving birth, Kevin wasn't being very social altogether and Lily had Keiran to take care of. So Terri called the only other person she could think of.
"Hey Jake. Tell me, what does the other lonely single on the island do on a Saturday night?"
"Wanna come and watch the game instead?"
And so they had quite a fun evening watching football.
"Hi Summer! How's Amy?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. The weirdest thing just happened! I was writing and suddenly I heard a voice behind me. And then, when I finished my chapter, there was this new plaque hanging on my wall."
"I know right? Do you think my place is haunted?"

Not much interesting happened in Terri's week. She sold 2 best sellers though, which is nice. Like with Jake, I have high hopes for the townies that will be pouring in next week. Hopefully Terri will be able to find a little romance, besides her novels :)
