So Boston...

Day 1 was pretty mucha feeling out process, but at a same time, a pain. Day started with me waking to a dead car battery. Waited in the cold for about an hour till the man showed up and gave me a boost. After that, I tried to get my bearing and head out. Boy did I find out the hard way about driving in Boston. I was in traffic for most of my destination (which was to JFK museum). I didn't make it so I just set it off for another day. But after all the headache, I found a gem in Pleasure Bay/Castle Island. I truly felt alive when I apporached those two places. It was a nice day from that point and I sure as heck am not complaining about that day after that.

Day 2 was the fabled Freedom Trail. From 9 in the morning to 9 at night, all day walking. I visited almost every conceivable place. But the one place that got me the most was Bunker Hill. Talk about a marathon. It was an uphill journey as it was, imagine on tired legs from all day in Boston? But it was worth it. The people I met there were interesting. Speaking of interesting people, I seem to have finally found my groove with talking with strangers. Later in the evening, after my time at the aquarium (which I enjoyed too), I met a family (well, now that I remember it, I met them in the aquarium) that was from Oklahoma City. We exchanged how each others trip were, and they told me to hit them up when I'm in their town. Isn't that wonderful? From there, I just called it a night.

Day 3 and final day was Museum of Fine Arts and JFK museum. I truly loved both, despite the former being a short visit (not knowing the Boston Red Sox was in town, parking was damn near non-existent), so I only had an hour and a half in a musuem that you can literally spend all day in. And that's my plan for next time too. All day. But for JFK, I got good time in and truly felt enriched. I see the man in a whole new light. But yeah, about that game, getting out of Boston was both a chore and an excitement. Seeing the lively atmosphere, the overpouring of people and the streets bustling was nice. I wanted to stay again, but parking was the crotch of that day. If I was made aware of the game, I would have kept my car in the garage I had the other day.

But Boston was wonderful. I will never visit that city in a car though. I'll fly in and train and taxi it (taxi into the city, train everything else). Never in a million years will I drive in there again.
