Most Constructive Day.. EVER

Feb 13, 2007 17:22

So I had nothing planned to do today so I randomly decided to get the ball rolling and make some enquiries about getting some credit for the electives in my degree from my previous studies. So after a few phone calls to (surprisingly) helpful receptionists at both Griffith and UQ, i figured out I needed to get an official transcript from griffith posted to me, take that to UQ and then wait a few weeks to hear if it was successful or not.

So the journey I thought I would have to begin today was:

Travel all the way to Nathan campus today to ask them to post my transcript of griffith to me, wait a few weeks for it to finally arrive, take it to UQ, wait a few more weeks, finally get a few electives credit.

And the journey that REALLY happened:

Travelled just to the South Bank Campus (turned out i could get a transcript from any campus) where the receptionist handed me an official transcript tere and then. Then (realising it was only 11am) travelled to UQ and handed it in with a form. Then went back into the city and drank a coffee and worked on the sonnet I promised Helen (another story). Then by the time I got back here, I had an email saying my credit application was successful for ALL of my remaining electives.

Let's say that again..... ALL my remaining electives.

That is a third of my degree.... done... from one day of rainy bus trips.

.....awesome :)

So at this point, I'm looking to be finished my degree by the end of next year, how exciting/scary.
